Kipsongo co-founder Krystina Finn started this event seven years ago as a way to both raise awareness and funds for the project, and to bring friends and family together for a fun day of racing and activities.

Krystina spent four months volunteering in Kenya in 2012 and used to wind down after a long day of work in Kipsongo by going for a jog in the beautiful Kenyan country side - often chased after by laughing, joyous Kenyan children. Shortly after returning home, Krystina was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and passed away in December of 2014 after a long and courageous battle. This race is a way to honor Krystina's legacy and to carry on her dream of helping the women and children in Kipsongo Slum. Please join us in helping to do so!

We will also have jewelry, clothing, and other items made by the women in Kipsongo Slum available for purchase at the event, and face painting and other fun activities for children to participate in. Kids age 12 and under can participate for free and don't need to register. All proceeds from this event go directly to The Kipsongo Project.

Register before June 30th to receive an early registration discount! The registration fee will increase to $40 on June 1st.

We hope to see you there!
